{henry boy}

Henry loves to build.
 Sometimes he even draws up plans for what he is planning on building.  I love when he comes to get me to show me what he has built.  It is always a surprise.
This time he built the Eiffel Tower:)

* * *

Henry loves winter and LOVES snow...really loves snow.
  One of his favorite things to do is shovel snow.  It is also one of his favorite things to do with his dad.  His dreams came true and we had a TON of snow this year.  He was delighted!

A sweet smile with a mouth full of snow!

I love this boy so much!  He is always helping me learn something new!
I can't wait to see what he becomes when he is older.

{a happy valentines day}

We had such a fantastic Valentines Day this year!
We started the morning our right with huge chocolate covered strawberries.
 Henry could not believe we got to eat something like that for breakfast!
We met some friends at a local pottery place and the kids picked out their own pottery and paint and got to work.  We then went out to lunch and back home for naps and quiet time.
  It was a really fun day full of of love and laughter:)

{movie night}

I love to surprise my kids.
 Sometimes it is really nice to get out of the routine and break the rules a bit.  After family home evening I made popcorn and put out a blanket so the kids could EAT DOWNSTAIRS and watch a MOVIE.  They were so thrilled!  (I think Chris was out of town).

{a good book and a great chair}

I love to find my kids with a book.
  I was finishing up getting ready for church and was coming down the stairs in a mad dash and saw this...

Henry was reading to Eliza in our new/old chair.  I love it!  It makes me so happy that my kids are so far carrying on my love for books and reading.  I can't wait until they really can read.  I am so excited for them to discover the wonderful worlds they can visit, the amazing characters they can get to know, the important lessons of life...all through a book!

{a new chair}

I was out with some neighbor friends one Saturday and came upon quite the find!  I was just tagging along as my friends were looking for certain things they needed.  We went to downtown Peoria and shopped around antiques stores and then ended up at Habitat for Humanities Restore.  I was not planning on buying anything but this chair sang to me...I audibly gasped when I walked in the front door and saw it.  I was planning on buying some really cute vintage looking leather chairs for the library, but I could not pass up the real thing.  I LOVE furniture with a story...later I went back for the couch:)

The kids liked it too.
Now I get to start the hunt for fabric and finding an upholstery guy/girl.
