{a little of everything}

Here are a few pictures from June.  I have been so sick from this pregnancy and very tired.  My new calling is taking a lot of time and is very stressful right now.  Henry and Eliza are fighting and all my fun summer plans and summer schedule are totally out the window.  Henry is really struggling with the lack of structure.  This too shall pass...
Eliza absolutely loves this dress!  She picked it out at Target and loves everything about it...she wants to wear it every Sunday.  She loves that it is so long and reaches her ankles.
Chris has worked hard on our yard, garden, and landscaping!
Also, a cute picture of Eliza getting her hair washed.  It is pure heaven for her!
A picture of Eliza swimming so we must have gone sometime:)

{nauvoo}

My good friend Audrey Martinez asked if I was up for a fun trip to Nauvoo with our kids and of course I said yes!  The Nauvoo Temple is our ward's temple so we have been there often, but there is never enough time to see all the shows.  We saw a couple of great plays and also a fantastic performance by the missionaries and also a BYU cultural dance group that was amazing!  We even saw a live jazz band.  The kids had so much fun being together and staying in a hotel, eating out, and seeing all the Nauvoo sites.  They really loved the oxen ride and the pioneer games!  It was such a fun trip and so neat to share this part of our faith with our kids!!!

{strawberry festival}

We have started going to Elmwood's Strawberry Festival every year.
  It is a very small town affair, but is so quaint and fun and the kids just love it!  It also is a beautiful drive on the way there.  Chris decided to go this year so it was our whole family.  The kids really loved the old colorful cars, which I was so glad about...I have always loved antique car shows!  Of course, the highlight of the day was Uncle Bob's homemade strawberry ice cream...yum!

{a dance recital}

Eliza has been taking dance this year.
  Her three and four year old class included tumbling, ballet, and tap.  All year they have been practicing for the HUGE program at the end of the year.  They danced and sang to DO RE MI from Sound of Music.  The whole dance show was Broadway themed.
  Eliza loves to dance but as the year has gone by I think she has gotten bored of all the practicing one dance every time and has wanted to quit for the last couple of months.  I was not sure how the actual dance performance would go, but she absolutely loved the glitz and glam of it all.  It was a huge production and taken very seriously by everyone.  I could not believe all the detailed instructions!  Eliza loved her costume and was excited to get her picture taken and LOVED the actual performance and being up on the "big stage"!  She made us all laugh and did a great job!!!
