{a new haircut}

Eliza has a new haircut!
  She has had longer hair, but that was a mess and it was all over her face.
 Then we tried bangs...that helped...,but still her hair was all over and messy right after I fixed it.
  It mostly was always up to keep it manageable.
Now she has bangs and a bob...
PERFECT!
I think we finally found the magic combination for her hair right now.
So cute!
(It also happens to fit her personality quite well!)

{a visit from Gramme and Poppy}

My mom and dad came to visit...hooray!!!
We love having family come and stay with us.  It is such fun for all of us to spend time with them.  This visit had a purpose though...
My dad was coming to WORK!
We have had lots of projects around our home that needed to be finished up or started:).  Chris works hard for our family and then spends a lot of time with the kids and there was never enough time to get everything done.  There were also a few things that he wanted my dad to show him how to do.

My dad helped Chris finish laying brick outside and landscaping...this was a HUGE job!
He expanded our garden...another huge job.
He fixed our pipe under our kitchen sink and then installed a new faucet...twice:).
He put in pipes and installed a double sink in our garage (life changing!).
He filled in a huge hole in our door.
He filled in and repainted big holes and marks on our walls.
He tightened some loose things around the house.
That is all I can think of right now, but as you can see it was pretty amazing!
Chris and I are both really grateful!
Chris can look up almost anything, read about it, and figure out how to do it, but it was really nice for him to have someone there to show him hands on how to do something and give him tips.
Thanks Dad!!!!

While my dad was working I got to spend some time with my mom and the kids.  Henry was mostly in school so it was just the girls a lot of the time.  It was such a nice couple of weeks and so fun!  We hardly took any pictures, but we had a great time!  My dad did not work the whole time and we did go do some things as a family like going to Tanner's Orchard.  We even let Henry out of school for two days so he could come with us and work with Poppy...which he loved!
Henry and Eliza LOVE cuddling with Gramme!
This usually involves a book or two or three...:)
Here are some of my favorite pictures of Gramme and the kids.

{a dance class}

I am teaching Eliza preschool at home.
  We are both loving this time together, but  I wanted her to be involved in some sort of structured class also.  When I asked her what she wanted to do she told me she wanted to do ballet and tap.  I found a really cute dance company that had a class just for her age that included ballet, tap, and tumbling.  It has been a fun experience for her.  She has three other little girls in her class that are from our ward, which has been really nice.  It is also fun for me to sit and talk with their moms during the class:).
  The first class she went to was hysterical.
I know she is only three years old, but some of the positions and antics she was doing...well we shall see if she is coordinated down the line.  Her tongue was out a lot and as you can see in the last picture sometimes she had her own ideas about what moves they should do.

  A couple of weeks can make all the difference though.  She is starting to follow along better and seems to really enjoy it!  Hooray!
