{happy halloween}

I volunteered in Henry's classroom for his first grade Halloween party.
  He did not want to go to school that day or go to the party, but I told him he had to because I was coming:).  I was in charge of the game and it turned out so well!  The kids could get up and move and have fun and it was easy!  I also brought a couple of books to read to them while they had their snack.  They really liked the book "Heckedy Peg"...no one moved a muscle and it got really quiet in the classroom.  Of course I had to do voices:)!
The kids had so much fun trick or treating that night...it was freezing!!!
Hot chocolate and popcorn warmed them right up!

{a preschool halloween}

Even though Eliza knew she wanted to be a dragon for months and months before Halloween, I could not pass up this beautiful and well made queen costume I found at TJ MAXX.
She was delighted and decided to wear it to her preschool parade and party.
She was so funny during the parade...
without any prompts she waved and waved to all the parents and kept saying over and over again
"I'm a Queen, I'm a Queen!".
Most of the kids were shy about it...not this girl:)
I took pictures of her excitement before getting dressed as a queen...of her teacher Miss Nancy and of course of her waving and her little class.

{ward halloween party}

I love seeing my children get all dressed up in costumes that they love so much!
I love seeing them look foward with anticipation to a Fall Festival/ Chili cook-off and trunk or treat with friends!
What a fun party we had at the church...Happy Halloween!
A pirate and a dragon:)

{fun in the field}

I love having a corn field in our back yard.
  We can pretend we live in the country and my kids can explore and have fun on a beautiful Fall day!

{grandma karen}

We love having Grandma Karen visit us!
  It has been so fun to have Grandma Karen come visit in the fall.  The leaves are so pretty and the air is crisp and cool and everything is yummy!!!  Yes, the fall is truly my favorite season!  We of course had to make a trip to Tanner's Orchard and buy some delicious apple cinnamon donuts and hot apple cider...and some apples and cider and popcorn:).  The kids had so much fun playing on the toys and we even ran into our good friends the Christensen's.  We also were able to go on a fun outing to the park for their annual hotdogs and hayrides.  We went on a little hayride and then roasted our hotdogs and then made smores.  A simple mid west fall evening out!
We all had such a great time with Grandma Karen.  The kids were in heaven!  It really was a lovely week!  I took the week off of most of my church stuff and just enjoyed family...very much needed!

{before preschool}

It is hard to get up early when you are pregnant and get kids out the door in a hurry.  Lunches to be made and devotional to be had and all of that.  I am so tired that Henry often wakes me up at around 6:45...I always awake at 6:56 in a jolt if I am not up already.  I feel like that is the Lord helping me out.  He knows I need to get up and help my kids.  After Henry is gone (I am the mom at the bus stop in my jammies) and Eliza's hair is done it slows down a bit.  I love the little bit of time I have with Eliza in the morning.  After she is all ready we sit on the stairs and read books until her ride comes...unless it is my day for carpool.  When she leaves I might make myself some hot cocoa and go get back in bed for a little while.  Those are my favorite days!  By the way fall is in the air!!!
Eliza wanted to take my picture:)

Added pictures:  Eliza trying on Halloween dresses (she decided to keep the burgundy one), the kids walking together in the rain to the bus stop while I followed them in the car:), a few pictures of Eliza's bedroom.
