The day after Thanksgiving is one of my favorite days of the year.

  This one did not start out that way!

  We always go out to cut down our very own Christmas tree.  This day everyone was in a bit of a mood, not very holly jolly.  Once we got to the Christmas tree farm we looked and looked for the perfect tree and found nothing!  The kids were getting tired and cranky by then and we had no tree.  We were able to regroup, stopping by home to grab some snacks and then off to another tree farm...where we found the most beautiful perfect tree ever!  They had a cute art project set up for the kids and hot chocolate and everything was right with the world!  I was so excited to get this tree home...my swollen feet were ready to be up also!

Even though I was so huge pregnant and so tired we thought it would be a good idea to host Thanksgiving dinner for some friends...I know!  Luckily it did turn out to be a great idea with a bit of hard work involved:)!  We really felt like it was our turn to host since we had been invited to so many great dinners and parties.  We invited the Jensen family and the Martinez family...the Christensen fam was out of town.  Everyone brought something so yummy and we had a really great time.  The kids were in heaven!  We were so busy and having so much fun that I did not take any pictures of the people, which I am so sad about.  I took a few of our set up before everyone came.

With the craziness of my life (in charge of the ward Christmas party, the giving tree, Christmas baskets, the Christmas social, BIG pregnant, regular family duties, r.s. visits and duties...you get the picture:)) there was not a lot of time for planning Chris' birthday.  I headed out the morning of for presents, cake, and everything I needed.  It all worked out and I was able to get everything done!
