Little Miss Eliza turned three years old!
I can't believe she is this big already! What a joy she is to all of our lives! She loves to dance and sing her way around life. She loves to make funny faces and funny sounds. She loves musical instruments. She loves listening to books on tape. She has a few favorite spots where she loves to relax and look at books...for a long time. Her favorite spot is: in our loft by the window in a bean bag. That equals perfection! She loves to pretend and talk to herself and will carry on conversations during play. She will talk and then she will talk for whatever or whomever she is playing with or pretending about and then her turn will come again. You usually can tell which one is her because she changes her tone of voice and the way she speaks when it is someone else. She loves to tickle us, especially on the face. She LOVES to be tickled herself...very softly and even a massage once in a while. She plays dress-ups every day. She loves to play outside and is usually never scared of anything and will try anything. She loves toast and fruits and vegetables (mostly red and yellow bell peppers).
I set up our kitchen table with her birthday presents so she could see them when she first walked downstairs. The high chair and bed were from Gramme and Poppy. It is so neat to see old toys passed down in the family. We gave her a hula hoop and a Minnie soccer ball and something else that I cannot remember. Henry gave her a Minnie Mouse DVD. It was also so fun to hear from Grandmas' and Grandpas' and receive some fun things in the mail.
We had German Pancakes for breakfast. Eliza had decided she wanted to go to the water park for her birthday. We had such a fantastic time! The kids never wanted to leave. We finally pried them out of there and had a late lunch at a Mexican Restaurant. Eliza wanted fried ice cream for her birthday treat. She looks overwhelmed in the picture but don't let that fool you. She was so excited to have her very own...she gobbled it right up!
